Controversial appeals court nominee Bill Myers is being asked to give an "accurate account" any contact with convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
Myers previously told the Senate Judiciary Committee that he "never had any contact" with Abramoff. But documents show that he attended a dinner in Washington, D.C., with the disgraced lobbyist.
In response, the White House acknowledged Myers attended the event. But a spokesperson told The Denver Post that the two didn't meet.
Myers was Interior Solicitor at the time. He has been nominated for a spot on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which hears a significant number of Indian law cases.
Tribes nationwide have opposed his nomination. Senate Democrats have blocked his confirmation twice but Bush resubmitted his name last month.
