Native protesters in Canada prepare for long haul

Native protesters who have been occupying a construction site in Ontario are preparing to stay there through the winter.

The protesters are seeking donations of food, clothing and money. They say they will stay until the land is returned to the Six Nations.

The occupation began February 28. Talks with the Canadian government are ongoing amid efforts to oust the protesters from the site.

At times, there have been confrontations between the protesters, police and residents. No one has been seriously hurt or injured.
