The Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council [Web Site] voted Tuesday night to reject a $111,000 donation from Sen. Conrad Burns (R-Montana).

Some tribal leaders said the money was tainted because Burns accepted donations from confessed felon Jack Abramoff. Others said accepting the money would only make Burns look better politically.

The tribes are "tired of being used," Julia Doney, the president of the Fort Belknap Indian Community, told the Associated Press.
