Members of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota will go to the polls on October 27 to elect a chairman and other council representatives.
Charles Colombe is seeking re-election after two years as chairman. He cites his record in obtaining federal grants, improving the justice system and creating jobs.
Rodney Bordeaux, a council representative, is also running for chairman. He won the most votes in the September primary and says health care, economic development and open government are his priorities.
Also up for election are the vice chairman post and 12 council seats.
