The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals will hold a hearing on Friday in the lawsuit challenging the use of the "Redskins" trademarks.
Led by Suzan Shown Harjo, a group of seven Native activists, say the "Redskins" names are disparaging to Native Americans. They convinced the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel the marks but a federal judge in October 2003 overturned the ruling.
The hearing will take place at 9:30am at the federal courthouse in Washington, D.C.
