Tribes, fishermen, farmers and environmentalists met in California on Monday to discuss the future of the Klamath Basin.

For the past three years, the basin has been the site of a heated war. Tribes and their allies want more water to protect fish. Non-Indian farmers say their rights need to be protected.

Some parties involved say they want to find a way out of the dispute. But the Yurok Tribe says it will continue the battle in court. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered the federal government release more water to benefit the Yurok Tribe and the Hoopa Valley Tribe. The lawsuit goes to trial next month.
