The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Tuesday released its report on the Klamath River fishkill. The report says a combination of factors contributed to the deaths of more than 33,000 salmon in September 2002. It cites low water flows, warm water temperatures and a large number of fish. The Yurok Tribe blames the Bush administration's water management policies on the fishkill. In response to complaints by non-Indian farmers, Secretary of Interior Gale Norton reversed a decision that favored the tribe and the Hoopa Valley Tribe.
