S.630, the Quapaw Tribal Settlement Act of 2025. The bill creates a $137.5 million trust fund to settle a trust mismanagement dispute between the Quapaw Nation and the United States. The tribe is headquartered in Oklahoma.
S.1514 / H.R.2389, the Quinault Indian Nation Land Transfer Act. The bill places approximately 72 acres of land currently managed by the U.S. Forest Service in trust for the Quinault Nation. The land is located in Washington state.
S.2796, the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation Land Exchange Act. The bill authorizes a land exchange between the federal government and the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation. The land is located in southern California.
S.2871 / H.R.2400, the Pit River Land Transfer Act of 2025. The bill places approximately 584 acres of land currently managed by the U.S. Forest Service in trust for the Pit River Tribe and places another 40 acres of fee land in trust for the tribe. The land is located in northern California.
S.3219, the Albuquerque Indian School Act of 2025. The bill places about 9.98 acres in trust for the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico. The land is located at the site of a former Indian school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the tribes now operate the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and other ventures.
S.3475 / H.R.2916, a bill to authorize, ratify, and confirm the Agreement of Settlement and Compromise to Resolve the Akwesasne Mohawk Land Claim in the State of New York, and for other purposes. The agreement requires the return of about 3,500 acres of stolen land to the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe.
