Elouise Cobell, the lead plaintiff in the Indian trust fund
lawsuit, will meet with Indian landowners in South Dakota to discuss the $3.4 billion settlement in the case.
Cobell heads to the Pine Ridge Reservation on Sunday. She will be at the Pejuta Haka College Center at the Oglala Lakota College from 1pm to 5pm.
On Monday, Cobell will be at the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. She's speaking at the gym at the Sinte Gleska University from 1pm to 5pm.
The meetings come as the House Natural Resources Committee prepares for a March 10 hearing on the settlement. .At least one South Dakota tribal leader -- President Theresa Two Bull of the Oglala Sioux Tribe -- is slated to testify.
