A judge for the Hopi Tribe of Arizona has issued an arrest warrant for suspended chairman Ben Nuvamsa.
The tribal council suspended Nuvamsa last month and says he failed to surrender tribal property. Nuvamsa says the charges against him lack merit and that his suspension was illegal.
Nuvamsa and the council have clashed repeatedly since he took office in March 2007. He's gone to tribal court repeatedly to keep his job.
