A political dispute between leaders of the Hopi Tribe of Arizona has affected the tribal appellate court.
The tribal council suspended the justice of the court and said the other two judges were improperly seated. The move came after the court quashed an arrest warrant against Chairman Ben Nuvamsa.
The court has backed Nuvamsa in prior disputes. Vice Chairman Todd Honyaoma and his allies say the judges are biased.
