The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday affirmed the sentence of Clifford G. Birdinground, the former chairman of the Crow Tribe of Montana.
Birdinground pleaded guilty to accepting kickbacks from a car dealership that did business with the tribe.
He was sentenced to more than three years in prison and three years of supervised release.
Birdinground challenged his sentence but has been rejected twice. He has been serving his prison term since January 2007.
