Another man has pleaded guilty in a kickback scheme that defrauded the Crow Tribe of Montana.
Elliot Mountain Sheep, 36, admitted to embezzling more than $36,000 from the tribe.
The money was funneled to former chairman Clifford Bird in Ground to pay for his legal fees.
Mountain Sheep was indicted with Kelly Dee Passes on charges of making fraudulent contracts. Passes pleaded guilty to some charges in the case.
Bird in Ground pleaded guilty to bribery and was sentenced to 37 months in prison. He used tribal money to buy vehicles for family and friends, authorities said.
