Former Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas) says the Department of Justice needs to wrap up its investigation of his wife.
DeLay quit Congress amid scrutiny over his ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. He also faces political corruption charges in Texas.
Part of the investigation focuses on his wife's connections to Abramoff. DeLay says he has given DOJ information that exonerates Christine but nothing has happened.
"It’s a Justice Department that is running amok. Fish or cut bait. Do something," the former House majority leader told The Hill.
DeLay said investigators aren't targeting him but a source familiar with the investigation told the paper DeLay could be indicted for corruption. The source said someone in DeLay's inner circle has been given immunity and is cooperating.
