Seminole Tribe retains Mitchell Cypress as chairman

Mitchell Cypress was re-elected as chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida on Tuesday.

Cypress defeated challenger Moses B. "Moke" Osceola by 100 votes. But Osceola is considering a challenge, citing "extra" votes at a polling place on the Hollywood Reservation.

Voters ousted Andrew Bowers as council member for the Brighton Reservation. He lost to Roger Smith by one vote.
