Yellowstone National Park is repatriating a human skull to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana.
The complete skull, probably of a female, was discovered at a tribal campsite in the 1880s. It was donated to Yellowstone in 1930.
The skull is the last set of remains to be repatriated by Yellowstone. Earlier this year, the park returned three sets of remains and burial objects to the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming and the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe of Idaho.
