Members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota will see a different ballot for the presidential election today.
The election board removed incumbent president Alex White Plume from the ballot. It turns out that he has a federal felony conviction from 1982 that bars him from holding tribal office.
So Cecilia Fire Thunder, who was ousted as president for her views on the state's abortion law, will face John Yellow Bird Steele, another former president.
Tribal members also will choose several council seats.
