The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota is hosting one of the signature events for the Lewis and Clark commemoration.
"Reunion at the Home of Sakakawea" starts Thursday and runs through Sunday. It honors Sakakawea, the Shoshone woman who helped Lewis and Clark during their expedition 200 years ago.
Organizers are expecting a good turnout. Rooms at the tribe's hotel and at hotels in New Town, North Dakota, are fully booked.
