A member of the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe of Montana will play the role of Sacagawea in a Lewis and Clark re-enactment tour this summer.
Gloria Wells, 50, will travel with the Discovery Expedition from Montana to the Pacific Ocean. She will answer questions about Sacagawea's role in the 1803-1806 Lewis and Clark expedition.
Some tribes and tribal people have complained about Lewis and Clark re-enactors, saying they pay tribute to the loss of Indian culture and way of life.
