The House ethics committee plans to move quickly on its probe of Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio), The Washington Post reports.

The committee will look into allegations that Ney accepted bribes from convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his associates. Ney agreed to sponsor legislation and take other actions on behalf of tribal clients, according to documents filed in federal court.

The ethics committee will coordinate with the Department of Justice to avoid interfering with the Abramoff probe, The Post said.
