Village blasts Oneida Nation over land purchase

The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin is being attacked by the village of Hobart over a recent land purchase.

The tribe bought the 17.4-acre parcel from a real estate developer. That means the village won't see any tax revenue or be able to expand, village officials say.

The tribe says the purchase is part of its effort to reacquire all of its former reservation. The entire village of Hobart lies within those boundaries.

Village officials, however, accuse the tribe of being "deceitful."
