An ongoing investigation into the disputed election of the Mtis Nation of Saskatchewan has resulted in criminal charges against a poll worker accused of forgery.
The province has been looking into the election in which Dwayne Roth was elected president. Roth said the forgery charges won't have an effect on his victory.
But government officials won't recognize Roth as the legitimate leader and have cut more than $2 million in funding to the Metis Nation.
