The Metis Nation of Saskatchewan has lost $400,000 in provincial funding as a result of its recent election controversy.
Saskatchewan's aboriginal affairs minister Maynard Sonntag said the funding would be suspended until the mess can be resolved. The government could end up monitoring future elections.
The Metis Nation also stands to lost nearly $300,000 in federal funding.
