The new chairman of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana says it will time take for the tribe to recover from the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal.
Kevin Sickey, 35, was elected chairman over a council member who supported Abramoff. The tribe's former chairman, Lovelin Poncho, also supported Abramoff but didn't seek re-election.
Sickey, the tribe's former police chief, hopes to unite the tribe and restore its image in light of the Abramoff scandal.
