The incoming secretary for the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe of Nevada said she hopes to be a team player when she joins the tribal council.
"I have the reputation in the jobs I had for getting along with most people," Laura Nihoa told The Lahontan Valley News. I'm not a maverick. I'm the kind of person who likes to work with a team."
Nihoa was elected on Saturday. She was the only challenger to win a spot on the council. Incumbent Chairman Alvin Moyle and incumbent council member Daniel "Sonny" Allen were re-elected.
