Supervisors in Santa Barbara County, California, say they will continue to negotiate with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians over the tribe's trust land request.
The county and the tribe previously agreed to work together on the tribe's 6.9-acre request. But a final deal still hasn't been reached.
Meanwhile, the tribe asked the county to support a second request for 5.81 acres. The supervisors put that issue on hold pending negotiations on the 6.9 acres.
