As Davy Crockett, actor Fess Parker was an Indian fighter. Now he's being attacked for being an Indian helper.
Park plans to sell 745 acres to the Chumash Tribe, also known as the Santa Ynez Band of Mission Indians. The tribe plans to turn the land into a housing and resort community.
But residents of Santa Barbara County are so outraged that they've turned against Parker. They are boycotting any businesses that serve Fess Parker wines, The Los Angeles Times reports. Local are putting "FESS" stickers on stop signs, some friends are avoiding Parker and some members of his family have questioned the plans.
"I never imagined it would go this far," Chumash chairman Vincent Armenta told the paper.
