LaDuke supports Nader's right to run for president

Native environmental activist Winona LaDuke said she supports Ralph Nader's right to run for president as an independent.

But LaDuke, a member of the White Earth Ojibwe Tribe, told The Minneapolis Star Tribune that she hasn't decided whether to support her former running mate. "At this point, I'm not sure who I'm backing," she said.

LaDuke ran with Nader in 2000 as the Green Party candidate. Nationally, the team received 3 percent of the vote. Some Democrats blame Nader for former vice president Al Gore's loss to Gorge W. Bush.
