Officials in western New York are skeptical that a settlement with the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma will resolve the long-running land claim because the Cayuga Nation isn't involved.

The officials have opposed gaming by both tribes. They were able to stop the Seneca-Cayugas from opening a Class II establishment on ancestral territory.

Upstate Citizens for Equality, an anti-treaty rights group that opposes land claims, says the settlement won't resolve anything. The group says a U.S. Supreme Court decision in the Oneida Nation case could affect other tribes.
