Enterprise Rancheria casino deal signed almost 10 years ago

The Enterprise Rancheria. signed a memorandum of understanding for its casino in Yuba County almost a decade ago.

The county approved the deal in December 2002. The Bureau of Indian Affairs didn't approve the casino until September.

"We negotiated a contract that was held up as a model of a good agreement," supervisor Mary Jane Griego told The Marysville/Yuba City Appeal-Democrat. "I think that still holds true."

But one sitting supervisor believe the deal needs another look because the BIA process took so long. A former supervisor also says the county should renegotiate.
