Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) expects to sign a Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe after the agreement won approval in the House by a 74-39 vote.
The deal authorizes slot machines at seven tribal casinos and card games at three facilities. The tribe will share a minimum of $1 billion over the next five years.
The tribe will continue to share revenues with the state after five years but the amount will go down depending on the expansion of non-Indian gaming.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs will have final approval of the compact.
