The Florida House Select Committee on Seminole Indian Compact Review voted 15-3 on Thursday to approve a Class III compact with the Seminole Tribe.
The vote sends the measure for a vote on the House floor. The state Senate is expected to vote on it next Tuesday.
The deal authorizes slot machines at seven tribal casinos and card games at four facilities. The tribe will share $1 billion with the state over the next five years.
