The Florida Senate voted 28-9 on Thursday to approve a Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe.
The deal authorizes slot machines at seven tribal casinos and table games at three casinos. The tribe will share an estimated $1 billion with the state over the next five years.
The Florida House is expected to take up the compact next week.
