Casino mogul Donald Trump says he spent $10.1 million to help the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot Tribe of Connecticut gain federal recognition. Now he wants it back. And then some.

Yesterday, Trump filed suit in state court against Pequot tribal leaders and their investors. He claims his contract to open a casino with the tribe has been breached.

The Paucatuck Tribe won federal recognition as part of the larger historic Eastern Pequot Tribe. One of Trump's lawyers claims the suit will show that the Paucatucks are a separate tribe.

The state of Connecticut and three towns are suing to stop the recognition of the tribe.
