BIA no longer recognizes Clint Halftown as Cayuga Nation leader





The Bureau of Indian Affairs no longer recognizes Clint Halftown as the representative of the Cayuga Nation of New York.

Tribal members ousted Halftown due to complaints about his leadership. The BIA acknowledged the decision but an appeal is expected, The Auburn Citizen reported.

Tribal members also said they ousted Halftown's allies from the council.
