San Manuel Band donates $200K for flooding victims in Montana

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has donated $200,000 to help flooding victims on three reservations in Montana.

The tribe donated the money to the American Red Cross of Montana. It will be used to help members of the Crow Tribe, the Chippewa Cree Tribe and the Fort Peck Tribes who lost homes and property.

"San Manuel recognizes that our brothers and sisters in Montana are facing a difficult period of recovery and want them to know that we stand by them through this process," Chairman James C. Ramos said in a press release.

Severe flooding hit the reservations last month. Damages have been put in the millions of dollars.
