Crow Tribe reports more than 200 homes damaged by floods

The Crow Tribe of Montana says more than 200 homes have been damaged or destroyed in recent flooding.

Heavy rainstorms on May 22 led to flooding on the reservation. Many people lost some or all of their belongings.

"We're still working hard to get our families back into their houses, get the repairs that need to be done," Jason Shigley of the Crow Incident Command told The Billings Gazette.

The tribe is preparing an estimate to repair or replace the homes for the state as part of its request for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
