A jury in South Dakota found a man guilty of a non-fatal shooting during last year's Lakota Nation Invitational.
Simon Torres, 20, did not testify. But witnesses identified him as the man who shot Shane Bordeaux , 20, on December 16, the opening day of the basketball tournament.
"I think this verdict ... affirms that we're not going to tolerate this behavior there, and LNI by itself shouldn't get a bad name for this," Pennington County State's Attorney Glenn Brenner told The Rapid City Journal.
