A trial opened into a shooting during last year's Lakota Nation Invitational in South Dakota.
Shane Bordeaux, 20, was shot three times outside the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice
Arena on December 16, the opening day of the basketball tournament. Simon Torres, 20, is the alleged gunman.
Bordeaux testified that he and Torres were involved in some sort of "altercation" inside the center. The actual shooting took place outside one of the entrances.
Bordeaux's cousin, Joel Little, was involved in the incident. He has pleaded guilty to hiding the gun used in the shooting.
