Opponents of the "Fighting Sioux" nickname and logo of the University of North Dakota are seeking to delay a Spirit Lake Dakotah
Nation vote on the issue.
Terry Morgan and Erich Longie say some signatures on a petition that was used to put the issue on next Tuesday's ballot are questionable. They want a tribal court judge to put the referendum on hold until the dispute is resolved.
A judge is set to rule on the case today, Morgan said.
