The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate is holding a homecoming and honoring ceremony on Saturday, March 22, for the late Master Sgt. Woodrow Wilson Keeble.
Keeble, a tribal member, was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor at a White House ceremony last week. He was recognized for his service in the Korean War. He also served in World War II and received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Silver Star and the Distinguished Service Cross.
All tribes and veterans are invited to the ceremony, which starts at 1pm at the Dakota Magic Convention Center in Hankinson, North Dakota.
