Grandson of Choctaw Chief Martin killed in crash

Kevin Shoemake, the 28-year-old grandson of Mississippi Choctaw Chief Phillip Martin, was killed on Wednesday in a one-vehicle crash.

Shoemake was a passenger in a car that left the road and hit a tree in Neshoba County.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
