Theodore J. Hogan, a former official of the Crow Tribe of Montana, took the stand in his fraud trial on Wednesday.

Hogan, 61, is accused of lying about his financial situation. He is a convicted felon who was required to disclose his holdings as he paid restitution for a corruption conviction in 1990.

"I never lied," Hogan testified, The Billings Gazette reported. "I disclosed everything year after year."

Hogan cried when he talked about the two years he served in prison. "I never want to go back," he said.

Hogan has finished paying off the $35,100 he owed the Crow Tribe. But federal prosecutors say he took in more than $2 million from 2001 to 2005.
