The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma has shared its Bureau of Indian Affairs road funding with the state of Missouri.
The tribe contributed $792,800 towards a bridge project in Seneca. It is believed to be the first time that tribal money has been used in Missouri.
"We have made history in the little town of Seneca and with the Eastern Shawnee Tribe," said Eastern Shawnee Chief Charles Enyart, The Neosho Daily News reported.
