The Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is reaching out to youth in hopes of preventing suicide.
In the past two years, at least six young people have taken their lives. Tribal law enforcement have responded to more than 200 suicide attempts.
The tribe formed a suicide prevention task force to address the issue. Local schools have offered more counseling and activities to keep students occupied.
Teens have cited gang violence, substance abuse and despair as links to suicide. Some say they don't think adults listen to them or care about them.
