Tex Hall gets day in court over disputed election

Tex Hall, the former chairman of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota, was in tribal court on Monday to call for a new election.

Hall lost the November 7 election by more than 200 votes. But he alleges casino money was used to buy votes for Marcus Wells Jr., who won the election.

A tribal election board rejected Hall's complaint, saying there was no evidence of wrongdoing. The appeal gets heard by the tribal court.

Wells was sworn in after winning the election.
