The city of El Reno is donating its bison herd to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma.
The herd has been on display since 1947 but has dwindled to less than 10 animals. They will be mixed with the tribe's herd of about 215 bison.
The tribe uses 1,200 acres for its bison herd.
