Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes offer land for bison herd

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma will provide land for a bison herd the city of El Reno wants to relocate.

The herd is running out of food to eat in the city, the finance manager said. The tribes have 1,200 acres that it uses for its own herd of about 215 bison.

The city council will vote in November whether to donate the herd to the tribes.
