Federal authorities laid murder charges against a Montana man accused of killing a Navy SEAL who was about to leave for duty in Iraq.
Gerald Lee Littlehead, 22, allegedly stabbed Michael Bell, 22, at a bar on the Fort Peck Reservation. Bell had been at the bar to visit family and friends before heading to Iraq for a second deployment.
David Zephier, 29, who is Littlehead's brother, has been charged with attempted murder and complicity in Fort Peck tribal court.
