The FBI is investigating the stabbing death of Michael Bell, a Navy SEAL who was about to be deployed to Iraq before he was killed on the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana.
Bell was Assiniboine from Montana and Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara from North Dakota. He was a 2001 graduate of Wolf Point High School and left the reservation to join the Navy SEALs.
Bell returned home to visit family and friends when he was stabbed last Wednesday at the Water Hole 1 bar. He died that day in a Billings hospital.
Funeral services are taking place this morning in the Wolf Point High School gym.
